The Beaver Bank Homework Club creates art using used/recycled materials. Then, we donate the items to organizations for their fundraising efforts – auctions, annual bazaars, raffles, etc.

At the Homework Club we believe no one is too young to help their community. The Create and Donate Program is an excellent vehicle allowing children to participate in community service.

For Building Futures Employment Society in Lower Sackville, we created an ABC Minion Board and a Minion Board that read: “Live, Laugh, Love, Learn.” The word “Learn” was added by members, to the popular saying.

In February BBHC responded to a request for auction items on Kijiji. The item was to be auctioned to raise funds for a child and her family living in the community. Seeking Auction items Bedford Halifax image 2

After deciding to donate, we scoured Google Images to get inspired. Search words: kids painting sunset birds. We liked a painting of birds’ profiles, sitting on a tree branch, in the moon light. We liked cats better and created this. It’s called “Cats in Purple.”

The painting required three colors – White, Purple and Black. It was donated March, 2016.
